A new kind of apartment living experience is coming to downtown Fargo! What once was home to the old Fargo Public School District warehouse and Military Entrance Processing Station is transforming into a six-level apartment complex that combines urban living and state-of-the-art technology with outdoor recreation and active lifestyles in mind.
Keith Leier, vice president of development and construction with Kilbourne Group, is excited to see the activation of space next to the riverfront.
“Being close to the river, we’re really leaning into an active lifestyle here, so the project has a big outdoor rooftop terrace-patio that looks over the river,” Leier said. “We have a lot of extra storage compared to our normal buildings down here. It has bike and kayak storage, as well as plenty of lockers for outdoor gear, whether that’s for hunting and fishing, golf, or any of that type of stuff.”
The Red River is an untapped amenity to the downtown Fargo neighborhood. It offers groomed trails for running and biking in warmer seasons and snowshoeing or cross-country skiing in the winter.
For those that prefer to be on the water, there are multiple kayak drops for cruising the Red. There are also fishing spots along the trails. Of course, the best part of RiverHouse will be the views filled with lush greenery—particularly in spring and summer—for those who crave being close to nature.
