Our Guide to Brunching in Downtown Fargo

Wild Terra just announced Fargo’s first ever Brunch Festival, and needless to say we’re already drooling. That being said, it isn’t until June, and there are a lot of brunch dates between now and then. So without further ado, here’s our comprehensive list of brunch spots in downtown Fargo.

84 Italian Steakhouse

VIBE: Classic line-up 🥞

Looking for a solid menu filled with brunch classics like eggs benedict, jumbo caramel rolls, pancakes, and more? 84 Italian Steakhouse just might need to be your pick. Plus, they have a kids menu!

Babb’s Coffee House

VIBE: The best Seattle breakfast in town ☕

Sure, Babb’s has a serious line-up of caffeinated beverages and beyond, but did you know they’ve also got a truly mouth-watering selection of sandwiches, soups, salads, and baked goods. We’ll never say no to a perfectly grilled panini.

BernBaum’s

VIBE: Truly iconic 🥯

Honestly, BernBaum’s is THE place that comes to mind when we think breakfast in downtown Fargo. Their Jewish-Scandinavian menu filled with clean, wholesome options is unlike any other culinary experience you’ll find in town.

Black Coffee & Waffle Bar

VIBE: Donkey’s ideal brunch place 🧇

First of all, who doesn’t love a good waffle? Black Coffee & Waffle Bar is here to save you that waffle-maker mess AND dress up your waffle in its Sunday best. There are truly some delish options on their menu, but we recommend the Loaded Potato if you’re looking for something savory.

Blarney Stone

VIBE: Midwest meets Ireland 🍻

Cottage bacon, corned beef, and bangers abound at downtown Fargo’s newest brunch spot. Best of all, this pub-style brunch can be paired with a Smithwick’s, a Magners, or a wide array of Irish-themed cocktails.

Boiler Room

VIBE: The brunch masters 🏆

The OG brunch masters in downtown Fargo, they’ve got a carefully crafted brunch menu that includes their iconic Rumchata French toast and a build-your-own bloody Mary bar. How could you go wrong?

Brew Bird

VIBE: Funky fried chicken but make it breakfast 🐔

What better place in downtown Fargo to get chicken and waffles than the experts in all things clucky? If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even try their weekly brunch special. Plus they’ve got a roster of the classic brunch cocktails, so you won’t go thirsty either.

Fryn’ Pan

VIBE: Brunch is whenever 🍳

There’s no need to dress up the Fryn’ Pan experience, it speaks for itself. Breakfast food is what’s up 24 hours a day. Just be careful, it can be hard to pick just one thing off their options-for-days menu.

Marge’s Diner

VIBE: Retro lover’s dream 🧂

At Marge’s, brunch is the whole point. Their rockstar line-up of classic brunch dishes is available every day of the week, but on Saturdays and Sundays, they roll out the red carpet. We’re talking crepes, breakfast lasagna, stuffed French toast, and more.  You’ll have to go every day of the week just to try something new (and to see which salt and pepper shakers you get every time).

Nichole’s

VIBE: What brunch dreams are made of 🥐

The primo café-style brunch experience in downtown Fargo, complete with killer baked goods like galettes, scones, and croissants. Everything at Nichole’s is crafted with care. House-made tomato marmalade on their breakfast sammy? Say less.

Prairie Kitchen

VIBE: Midwestern but like… chef-y 👩‍🍳

If you’ve ever thought to yourself “breakfast food is boring,” first of all, how dare. Secondly, give Prairie Kitchen a try! They’ve got the Midwestern staples, but they bring them to a whole new level of culinary achievement.

Rosewild

VIBE: More than just brunch food 🎹

With their emphasis on regional cuisine, Rosewild offers an elevated version of some breakfast staples along side hand-crafted goodness like their Rosewild pot pie or the Fargoan croque. Plus there’s live jazz music, so its less of a meal and more of an experience. You’ll definitely want to reserve a table ahead of time.

Sons of Norway

VIBE: Your grandma’s kind of brunch 🧓

This Sunday brunch buffet is serving up nostalgia with the ultimate classic breakfast service complete with pancakes, krumkake, coffee, and more. The only caveat? It doesn’t happen every Sunday, so you’ll have to keep your eye on their Facebook page for future brunch announcements.
